Job Description
JH LTD is looking for a Butler to join our team and assist in providing a great experience to our guests. The butler is responsible for providing daily hospitality services Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm to 11pm (although most days end at 10pm - it can sometimes be later if the family is entertaining, for example). The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a desire to provide exceptional customer service. Flexibility is key due to potential travelling scenarios (airport pick up etc).
Qualifications
Previous Chauffeur & House Management experience required
- Be happy to do tasks when asked and have the ability to change quickly with the schedule.
- From time to time, do airport runs in the morning.
- Be able to work your schedule around the family's changing schedule.
- Take time off when there is down time or when suits with the calendar.
- Valid driver’s license, Good driving record and Chauffeur experience is a must.
- Think on their feet and assist PA to organise the Calendar.
- Manage when and if they need assistance with cars / driving / airport runs.
- Attention to detail with cars is also a must.
- Excellent Butler / service experience (Food / Drink Service / Cocktails)
- Must have experience in serving, Silver Service would be an advantage
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service in the face of challenges for our guests
- Provide assistance with basic maintenance tasks around the home including: light housekeeping, DYI etc.
- Work solely on Mister J's errands, including Dry Cleaning, polishing shoes etc.
- Assist with deliveries when needed.
- Very good understanding of London and places that the family frequent.
- Must be on top of the Insurance, Registration, Parking permits etc
- Wash, polish, clean, maintain all vehicles
- Driving may involve taking Mr J on shoots etc, must be available to stay over if needed.
- Be able to prioritise Mrs J needs and make her a priority, organise other staff to assist with this.
- Know where they are going at all times, ensure that they are always on time and are aware of traffic etc.
- Manage and maintain Wine Cellar
- Assist with service and organising dinner parties / cocktail parties
- Must be pro-active and re-active, a great communicator and team player.
- Must be well presented and have a great attitude.
- Happy, polite and willing personality
- “Nothing is ever a problem” attitude
- Must have excellent communication skills
The family will be away for 6 weeks over July & August.
